November 11-16

Tuesday I was in the office from 12-500. We are plan Military Appreciation Night. This night is to welcome home me and women in the 82nd Airborne from Iraq. We except to have a sell out. In the office we are getting a lot of phone calls because there were two companies that bought 5000 tickets from us to give to soldiers, and people want to know how to get them. I have to tell people that the companies are giving them out as they wish and we have nothing to do with it. We are also giving on special coins to all the men and women who are coming about from the war. We had just got them in today.

Total Hours: 5 Hours

Thursday I was in the office from 2:30-5. We are still planning for Military Appreciation Night which is the next night. We had a meeting to discuss what was all going to be going on that night. The first thing we had to do was send in a proposal to start the game 15 minutes late due the ceremony we were going to have honoring the soldiers. The next thing had to cover was soldier the men and women, who are getting the coins, could pick them put from. We had four location in which someone could pick them up the souvenir stand by the eat entrance, at the table by the hospitality rooms, one by the east entrance, and one up in the hospitality rooms for the groups who had parties there. Another thing we had to talk about was our intermission games. The people who play in the intermission games should be soldiers from war. Finally the last thing we discussed was the jersey auctions at the end of the night. The FireAntz were going to be wear specialty jersey honoring the 82nd Airborne. At the end of the game the guy’s jerseys would be auctioned off to the crowd. While this meeting took place we had to answer many phone call and deal with customers how wanted to by group tickets for that night.

Total Hours: 3 1/2 hours

On Friday I was at the office from 1-4. We were just getting our last things together before the game tonight. I was helping Jason put his media note packets together. I had to answer question on the phone for people who were calling in. We had only 500 tickets left to sell at 2 o'clock. We had to find people who had bought group tickets from us and were not going to use all of them due to that fact that we were running low on tickets. We had some last minute people calling in trying to get group tickets. From 4-11:30 I was at the Crown. We had a lot of setting up to finish there. We had to make sure all our tables were ready for our partners. We had to also make sure our areas that were giving out the coins were set up, ready and had the coins in the right area. I also had to help resticker the Chuck-a-puck because the stickers with the numbers were coming off. During the game I worked the FireAntz information table. We were selling chuck-a-pucks and birthday wishes, and answer questions on how people get the coins. During the first intermission through the second intermission I was sent to the opposite side of the Crown to sell chuck-a-pucks on the side. I took one of the FireAntz Heat dancers with me so she could help sell them. After the game, which the FireAntz lost, we sold the jersey in an auction. Due to the fact that they lost the jerseys did not go for as much as we wished. I believed the highs one went for $575
